As we watched and listened to the tragic events of hijacked commercial airliners being ruthlessly crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and learning of the plane that crashed in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, our first reaction was a heart-felt sorrow for the many innocent victims and the thousands of loved ones who suffered such a loss. Then, as we listened to the massive volume of verbiage emanating from the news commentators, we quickly realized that our country was in much more danger than we at first perceived. But the main danger to America in the near and distant future, we saw, would come, not from foreign terrorists, bad as they might be, but from our own news media and especially our own civil rulers.

Why do I mention our news media? Because it quickly became evident, as we switched from one news channel to another, that the public was being verbally "stroked" and psychologically prepared by the news commentators to become passionate for war! Indeed, the next day we met an acquaintance in town who stated, "My husband is ready to go to war!"

Very early in the continuing newscasts it was evident that the commentators assumed that the terrorists had been led by Osama bin Laden, the exiled Saudi prince who is allegedly holed up in Afghanistan. This well might be true, but only one news commentator that we heard belatedly added that there was actually no proof that bin Laden was at all involved. In matter of fact, bin Laden has denied that he had anything to do with the terrorist hijacking of the commercial airliners that generated the tragedy. Where the truth lies, only time will tell.

My point is that people in places of public influence, especially the news media and civil government, should be very careful to report only facts. They should not spark the flames of unthinking visceral fear and panic-based passion which can incite an easily influenced public into feelings of hatred that might throw us into a needless war or, worse yet, might convince the American public to accept a domestic military state in a frantic grasp for promised safety. There are always would-be tyrants standing in the wings who are ever-ready to offer an aroused public the flimsy promise of government-bestowed safety in exchange for giving up hard-won liberty.

Early in the lengthy monologues, news commentators were already predicting that America’s airports would soon be stationed with armed guards (like most of the dictator-type "banana republics" around the world) and that armed military would be stationed on every airliner to prevent terrorist hijacking in the future. This type of verbiage is not honest reporting of the news – it is nothing less than mass psychological conditioning of the public’s mind, and it should be recognized as such! What goal is being sought, the people’s safety, or the government’s preeminence? Crises sometimes have even been created or manipulated to establish martial law to rob citizens of their freedom.

As I sit writing this, my wife has just come into my office and announced a news report stating that the U.S. Secretary of Transportation has just proposed that the military Delta Force be used at airports and on airliners! Now American travelers are to endure the sight of armed military when they travel on airlines. (There is a better way: see below.) Will armed military on buses and trains be next? This is madness hatched out of purposely inciting widespread public fear! The next step will be to further incite a fearful public into an unthinking frenzy to disarm peaceful Americans. Then, only government agents and illegal elements in society will be armed, and no one will be safe from tyranny! Many Americans are already fearful of abuses perpetrated on them by agents of the BATF, the FBI, the DEA, the federal Marshals, the IRS, and other federal agents that carry arms.

Why I mentioned civil rulers above: The reason is that civil rulers cannot be trusted! They lie, and they intentionally deceive the public who pay their salaries, and they ruthlessly manipulate the populace to achieve their own political and privately held goals. This is true for every nation in the world, and America is no exception. The true state of the heart of civil rulers is accurately described in Jeremiah 17:9, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" – because no man can be trusted to wield power over others unless it is very carefully limited and controlled by a written constitution. And then the constitution must be enforced by a public that has an active awareness of man’s evil heart!

America’s founding fathers understood the fact that it is exceedingly dangerous for citizens to put unfounded trust in their civil rulers. That is why they protected our freedom by ensuring an armed citizenry through the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. I sense that both the federal government and the news media are making an all-out effort to make what they hope will finally be one last successful effort to disarm all private citizens. Let me give my fellow Americans a dire warning: In the long run, we have much more to fear from our own civil rulers than we have from any foreign government or any foreign terrorists!!!

President Bush is strongly talking of war (but war against whom?). I heard only one lone politician mention the "politically incorrect" truth that America must look in the mirror and ask why so many foreigners have such a boiling hatred against our country. He boldly stated that we need to reconsider our foreign policy which has incited general hatred for us in the Middle East. He was referring to our senseless unquestioning support of the Israeli government against the Palestinian Arabs whom the Israeli have ruthlessly and illegally ousted from their homeland. (More about this later.) That courageous politician is the Democratic representative from Ohio; his name is Jim Trafficant. Three cheers for a man who has the courage to speak truth in a time of crisis!

Why is it that so many people throughout the world hate America? The answer is simple: They have gradually come to hate America because our government has become the master busy-body of the world! We have U.S. military stationed, according to the last report I have received, in over 150 countries around the world! We poke our unwanted nose into the internal affairs of too many countries, and then we wonder why we are so highly resented for our unwanted intrusions? "He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears" (Proverbs 26:17).

In the 1920's Admiral Ben Moreell, who was stationed in Haiti as head of a Marine occupation force, asked a Haitian friend of his, "Look at the roads and other improvements we have made in your country! Why do you hate us so much?" His reply was straightforward, "We hate you because we want to be left alone. We want to be able to make our own mistakes!"

This explains the widespread growing hatred of America in many foreign nations. Since World War II we have thrown multi-billions of dollars of foreign aid and subsidies every year like a drunken sailor in vain efforts to influence foreign governments to do our bidding. Through the World Bank we have assaulted their economies through stringent loan requirements which have created unemployment and social unrest.

Unknown to many Americans we have also continued to bomb Iraq even after the so-called peace, and we have encouraged, through the United Nations and other ways, boycotts that have caused much physical harm and distress to innocent children and on the general peaceful Iraqi population. In Europe we engaged in massive terrorism by bombing and attacking the Serbs in Yugoslavia, a nation that threatened no harm to us, during the Kosovo military action through NATO. We also poked our nose into the African nation of Somalia, to our own hurt. The running account of America’s self-assumed role of "policeman of the world" could go on and on without end. Yes, there are many people in nations all over the world who have gradually come to hate America, and for good reasons! I love my country of America and the righteousness and individual freedom that it used to stand for in the past, but I detest the ever-growing fascistic/militaristic political leadership that for so long has ignored President George Washington’s well-meant advice not to become entangled in the affairs of foreign nations.

It is foolhardy for America to appoint itself as the world’s righteous policeman! The end result of world-wide meddling can only be the growth of a military dictatorship domestically. And we are living in one now. We live in an evil world in which evil political leaders in many foreign countries will readily accept our monetary handouts while they openly sneer in our face, or worse, smile at us while they secretly conspire against us.

This brings us to the misnamed nation of modern Israel, which was established in the Holy Land in 1948 – not as the result of God’s prophecy to gather His chosen people together in their homeland in the end times, as many misguided Christians believe – but rather as the result of the secret Balfour Declaration made in 1916 by Talmudic Zionist Jews who schemed with Britain to bring these United States of America into World War I to defeat Germany, who in 1916 had virtually won the war and was offering Britain very easy peace terms. The so-called "Jews" who have settled in the Holy Land and who now call themselves Israelis have no physical connection to the Hebrews of the Bible. The immigrants to modern Israel are mostly the progeny of the Khazar nation which was converted en mass to Talmudic Judaism in about 740A.D. Dr. Ben Freedman, a Zionist Jew, who actually took part in the secret Balfour Declaration process in 1916, and who later became a Roman Catholic, explains this historical fact in a public speech he gave shortly before John F. Kennedy became President.

Our country has poured more foreign aid into the modern state of Israel than any other nation in the world on a per-capita basis – more than $3 billion per year! And Zionist Israel has repeatedly repaid our country by clandestinely selling our high-tech military secrets to Red China, who has declared us as their number one enemy!

The Talmudic leaders of modern Israel have no love for America. It would be to their great advantage to foment war between our country and the Middle East Arab nations, but to our great detriment, so we must be extremely careful at this stage of history in our foreign policy. We should carefully and methodically delve into this brutal attack on American citizens via highjacked airliners to be absolutely certain that Israel’s terrorist arm, the MOSSAD has had no involvement in it at all.

For Americans who still look at the modern state of Israel through rose-colored glasses, let them be reminded of June, 1967, when Israel’s jet aircraft and motor torpedo boats deliberately and brutally assaulted the USS Liberty in international waters off the Sinai Peninsula in the Mediterranean Sea. The attack was no mistake! It was preceded by more than six hours of careful surveillance by Israeli photo-reconnaissance aircraft. The attack lasted more than two hours – killing 34 Americans and wounding 171 more. The carefully executed attack was initiated by high-performance jet aircraft, then was followed up by slower jets carrying napalm. The attack was finished by torpedo boats that blasted a forty-foot hole in the USS Liberty’s side. Finally, Israeli forces brutally machine gunned the American sailors who had taken to life rafts to survive. More Americans would have been killed, but rescue aircraft from the Sixth Fleet started toward the attack site, and the Israeli forces suddenly withdrew. The incident was covered up in this country by the L. B. Johnson Administration.

Our one-sided support of Zionist Israel, in spite of her brutal treatment of the Palestinians (some who are Christians), has cost us untold billions of dollars in the extra cost of imported oil resulting from cutbacks in oil production by the Middle East Arab nations in retaliation to our support of Israel. More importantly, it has cost us the friendship of millions of Arabs. Our entry into a Middle East war because of Israel – a war that we might not win, but even if we did – would result in America becoming an outright dictatorship domestically and the loss of the few individual freedoms we still have left, to say nothing of the loss of American lives. Every war we have engaged in over the last century and a half has built up a stronger centralized government in Washington, D.C., and drastically reduced the sphere of freedom enjoyed by individuals, families, and private businesses. It used to be that ordinary Americans were hardly ever aware of the presence of the federal government in their daily lives, but today we are hounded by government rules and regulations from the time we rise in the morning until we go to bed at night. And if we happen to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, we are still regulated by federally mandated rules on the capacity of flush tanks!

In a paragraph above I stated that civil rulers lie and deceive the public to serve their own political and private ends. At this point is will be instructive to review America’s history of engaging in war over the last 150 years.

The War Between the States: When the first seven Southern States seceded from the Union because of Lincoln’s election to the Presidency, Virginia, which was a pro-Union State, sent a delegation of three men to meet with President Lincoln. They told Mr. Lincoln that Virginia was willing to act as an intermediary, and they believed they could convince the seceded States to re-enter the Union within six months, and that Virginia would perform this service if Lincoln would make two promises: 1) that he would not use force, and 2) that he would promise to adhere to the Constitution. Lincoln’s reply was, "What about my tariff?" What President Lincoln meant was this: Since the income of the federal government was derived from taxing imports, he was afraid of a drastic drop in federal taxes if the seceded States would import tariff-free goods from Europe and then infiltrate them northward through the border without the payment of import taxes.

In the meantime Lincoln, who had stated he would not send munitions to Fort Sumpter, was secretly provisioning ships to resupply the fort with both food and arms, which South Carolina, now no longer in the Union, would regard as an act of war. When South Carolina seceded from the Union she had every right to expect that the Fort would be returned to her, since the Union had no further legal reason to inhabit it.

Lincoln’s devious action to resupply Fort Sumpter with arms was the aggressive act that precipitated South Carolina to fire upon the Fort, but the true facts surrounding the case were twisted to make it appear that South Carolina was the aggressor. When President Lincoln later unconstitutionally called for the States to supply 75,000 men to invade the South to force the seceded States back into the Union, most Northern State Governors readily complied, but other Governors flatly refused.

At first, the business community in the New England States were content to see the Southern States secede; but when they realized they might lose sales to the Southern States because of European imports entering the South duty-free, their attitude reversed and they put pressure on President Lincoln to move toward invading the seceded States with force. If the Lincoln Administration would have told the truth to the American people, America’s bloodiest war could have been avoided.

The Spanish-American War: "A splendid little war!" was what John Hay called the Spanish-American War of 1898. The McKinley Administration in Washington, D.C. – to its credit – did not want to get involved in the war. But our federal government was pushed into the war largely as a result of the pro-war frenzy of the public that was stirred up by the "yellow press" journalism of the Hearst and Pulitzer newspapers which competed with each other to generate readership over the blowing up of the battleship Maine, which was caused by an internal explosion while anchored at Havana, Cuba, and not blown up by the Spaniards, as the newspapers claimed. Such was the detrimental power of the news media back in 1898!

Today the power of the news media, with the addition of radio and television, is multiplied many times over, for good or bad! Another thing that makes the news media different today than it was at the time of the Spanish-American War, and this for the worse, is that today the political interests in Washington, D.C., and their behind-the-scenes cohorts now work hand-in-hand with the news media. Therefore, the combination of news media coupled with government is to be feared much more by freedom-loving Americans, and to be trusted not at all. Have you noticed how the news media today and the Bush Administration are both inciting the public into a war hysteria? Beware!

The Spanish-American War lasted only 113 days and added Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines to the territory controlled by these United States. A lot of new territory was added to America’s domain, but, sadly, the war and the addition of overseas territory changed both the direction and the essence of America forever. It turned our country away from our original basic concept of an Independent Republic to an Imperialistic Empire that was destined to get involved in the never-ending disputes of foreign nations in Europe, the Far East, and South America. We turned from a policy of free trade with all nations without political involvement in their internal affairs to a policy of managed international trade with continual involvement in other countries’ internal affairs. In short, we turned from the concept of republican self-government to the practice of imperialism through which we ruled millions of people without their consent or their being able to vote, just like the imperialistic nations of Britain, France, Spain, and Russia, and others; thus, we changed our destiny from the better to the worse. This change in direction and in the essence of our national being is what eventually turned us into the "policeman of the world," or should we say the "busybody of the world?"

Sometimes when the news media and/or the civil government stir up public enthusiasm – as they are doing today – the few lonely individuals who staunchly oppose such official madness, as I am now doing, are regarded an unpatriotic. Nothing could be further from the truth! When Charles Eliot Nelson, professor of history of fine arts at Harvard, publically opposed America’s warmongering in the Spanish-American War, he was regarded as unpatriotic. Here is his reply in a speech given in Cambridge, Mass.:

Let every American remember the pro-war role played by the press in fomenting the Spanish-American War, and let us apply the lesson to today’s tragic occurrence.

World War I: America’s entry into World War I started out as a purely European affair in 1914. It involved countries that had long held various and shifting animosities against each other. It need not have involved these United States of America, separated by some 3,000 miles of ocean, but we had a President named Woodrow Wilson, who was an avid Anglophile (lover of all things English) and a president who loved the increase in power derived from meddling in foreign affairs. The policy of the Wilson Administration was to strongly support Britain, who entered the war. And Wilson was strongly supported by big business in America, which saw profits in supplying war materials to the belligerents.

Since Britain quickly became master of the seas, the belligerents we supplied were soon restricted to Britain and her allies. Thus, a one-sided economic alliance developed between Britain and America. This, in turn, drew large business firms and labor unions into the economic relationship. When Britain and her allies ran out of hard currency and gold with which to make purchases, the U.S. Congress passed legislation allowing sales on credit, with help from the newly-formed Federal Reserve Bank, which provided the needed inflationary fiat money. Without the ever-ready monetary inflation by the Federal Reserve, it is doubtful that we would have entered WW I, WW II under Franklin Roosevelt, The Korean War under Harry S. Truman, the Vietnam War under Lyndon Johnson, Desert Storm in the Middle East under George Bush, Sr., the Kosovo military action via NATO under Bill Clinton, or the many other so-called "peace-keeping" military actions our country has been dragged into by our political leaders. It is much, much easier to get involved in foreign wars and entanglements when the federal government has a pliant money-making machine at its disposal. Let me state it clearly: Without the Federal Reserve to create easy money and credit, America would be a much more peaceful nation!

On August 5, 1914, Britain cut the trans-Atlantic cable between Germany and these United States of America. Henceforth, news messages from Germany to our country passed through London, which made it easy for British censors to trim and shape the reports to meet British propaganda aims. Britain had set up a propaganda office in New York City in order to manipulate public opinion in America. Soon we had not only the Wilson Administration striving to get our country into the war to aid Britain, but also the large majority of newspapers, big business, labor unions, many clergy, and many college professors – all were falling prey to British propaganda and soon working to prepare Americans psychologically and emotionally to enter the war on the side of Britain and her allies. But the American public still remained staunchly against involvement in European wars.

On May 7, 1915, a German submarine sank the Lusitania, with the loss of 1,195 lives, 124 of which were American. This helped British propagandists to turn public opinion against Germany. Wilson and the British authorities denied the fact (that is, they lied) that the Lusitania carried munitions. Germany knew it did and had warned it would be sunk and had urged Americans not to board her.

By 1916 Germany was starving as a result of a British blockade. Because of this, Germany declared unrestricted submarine warfare on January 31, 1917, to break Britain’s blockade. This led in March, 1917, to the sinking of four U.S. merchant vessels that were carrying munitions to Britain – which was, in effect, an act of war on the part of the United States.

President Wilson then called a special session of the Congress on April 2, 1917, and Congress voted overwhelmingly to declare war on Germany. Domestically, some results of the war were the loss of individual freedoms (freedom of speech); an inflated economy (due to deficit spending by the federal government that was aided by the new Federal Reserve Bank); a vast increase in Presidential power and vastly more centralized power by the federal government (takeover of the railroads and control of the food supply, for instance); a ready acceptance by "patriotic" Americans of vastly higher taxes via the16^th Amendment, never properly ratified, which led to the unconstitutional progressive income tax (historical documentation now proves that the 16^th Amendment was never properly ratified by enough States to make it legal, therefore most American citizens have no legal or moral obligation to file #1040 income tax forms); and a post-war depression (which resulted from the war-time monetary inflation).

The net result of World War I, long term, was a permanent decrease in American liberty (war-time government interventions in citizens’ personal and business lives are never fully rescinded after a war). This inescapable loss of liberty during wartime regimentation is in direct proportion to the mushrooming increase in bureaucratic government controls that are mandated at the national level. Another effect of every war is that a new generation of citizens comes of age, and this new generation does not realize to what extent past liberties have been curtailed by the growth of bureaucratic government; thus, the stage is set for continued loss of freedom during the next war. Foreign wars build domestic totalitarianism!

When I taught at the college level, I would tell my students,

This brings us to the next war.

World War II: The man who has most responsibility for America’s entry into World War II is Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was a great admirer of Mussolini’s system of fascism in Italy, which he tried to duplicate here in America during the Great Depression of the 1930's. The U.S. Supreme Court declared important parts of Roosevelt’s socialist/fascist programs unconstitutional, but many of his bureaucratic government programs survived, and even continue to exist today. Many economists, of which I am one, contend that Roosevelt’s programs deepened and substantially prolonged the depression. The depression after WW I ( with no government intervention) lasted only two years (1921-22), for instance; while the depression after the 1924-29 boom lasted for a long ten years. Roosevelt, who was a charming, politically astute demagogue (a politician who gets votes by promising government handouts to the masses), was frantic to get the economy going again, so he turned to military mobilization.

Roosevelt was an Anglophile, thus he was easily influenced by Britain, and especially by Winston Churchill, with whom he secretly conspired to get these United States of America into World War II. Britain had no good reason for entering the war other than fear of the rising economic dynamism of Germany, but, once she did, she once again looked to America to bail her out. As a result of getting involved in WW I, many Americans had learned the cost of being dragged into the eternal disputes that European nations engage in. Therefore the overwhelming majority of Americans did not want to get involved again in 1940. Liberal historians and political analysts incorrectly dubbed this as "isolationism," but it was just good sense – based on the foreign relations advice that President George Washington gave in his farewell message to Americans in 1796.

Roosevelt and Churchill secretly schemed to get America in the war in this way: At first British warships escorted convoys of merchant ships loaded with munitions and food from our east coast to England. Then they agreed to have American warships escort the British convoys from our east coast to rendevous with the British warships in the mid-Atlantic in the hope that German submarines would attack while the American warships were protecting the convoys. American warships protecting British convoys, of course, was an act of war, but Hitler did not take the bait; he ordered the German subs not to attack while the American destroyers were present. Then Roosevelt ordered the American destroyers to attack German subs if their sonar devices detected their presence. Still, the German subs did not retaliate because Hitler did not want these United States of America in the war for another repeat of WW I. Roosevelt was extremely frustrated. All along, in his radio "fireside chats," he promised the American people, "I tell you again, and again, I will not send your boys to war!" Many Americans believed his lies.

Finally, Roosevelt realized that he would have to use a different tactic to get America into the war. He turned to the Far East, with the aid and abetment of Churchill, and started an economic war against Japan to deprive her of raw materials and other resources she needed. The first embargo of needed supplies was in late 1940, followed in mid-1941 by a freezing of Japanese assets in our country. Roosevelt ultimately pushed Japan to the point where Japan decided to attack these United States.

The Japanese secret communication code had been broken, so Roosevelt knew that an attack was imminent, but he did not so advise the military commanders stationed at Pearl Harbor, Admiral Husband E. Kimmel, and General Walter Short. Both of these military leaders were wrongly defamed by the Roosevelt Administration for dereliction of duty and judged guilty by rigged military courts; both men died in disgrace. But the truth, though long known by a few researchers and persons "in the know," has recently been irrefutably proven because long-closed files have finally been opened and the truth reported in a number of scholarly books on Pearl Harbor – these wrongfully-defamed men were innocent of any wrong doing at all!

Recently the U. S. Congress absolved them of all guilt because it has become generally known that Roosevelt intentionally sacrificed the lives of almost 3,000 American soldiers and sailors in the expected attack at Pearl Harbor simply to change public opinion and to get America into World War II – what a day of infamy! We must recognize that President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his Administration are guilty of mass murder, and that his act of terrorism and his calumny has been intentionally covered up all these years! What sad evidence that civil rulers cannot be trusted by the people who raise them up to positions of power and influence! Thus, we must be extremely careful today to ascertain the veracity of things our present civil rulers are telling us.

During WW II, because of "patriotic fervor," American citizens willingly gave up additional freedoms and accepted more burdensome tax levies. One change that they were assured was only a "wartime measure" was the practice of withholding income taxes from each paycheck on a "pay-as-you-go basis"(before WW II federal taxes were paid in lump-sum after the year-end, which severely limited the amount of taxes that citizens were willing to pay). Wartime control invaded every aspect of people’s personal lives, which was accepted "in order to win the war." The problem is that the excessive taxation and invasive personal controls never left us after the war was over. But the really important problem is that a whole generation of young citizens grew up knowing nothing of the greater degree of freedom that existed before WW II. Thus, the long-term effect of each and every war and subsequent "military action" was to insidiously but effectively restrict individual freedom and self-responsibility before God! Beware America!

WW II would have ended many months earlier with much less loss of life, but, because of the influence of communists in the Roosevelt Administration, our country became fixated on the idea of "unconditional surrender," which unnecessarily prolonged the war and allowed the Soviet Union to make its massive entrance into eastern Europe and Germany. Thus, when the Japanese made overtures to surrender during the Truman Administration, they were ignored (more hidden information from recently released documents), and the atomic bombs were needlessly dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki with great loss of life to innocent civilians. This was, in effect, a massive act of government-induced terrorism – much greater than the act of terrorism we have just suffered from, as of yet, unproven sources.

WW II was the last war these United States of America entered into constitutionally by having Congress first declare war. All the subsequent "engagements" have been engineered by the now-very powerful Presidency under the unconstitutional guise of the United Nations (UN): Korea, Vietnam, Kosovo under NATO and its horrible destruction of non-military buildings and civilian population (more terrorism), the Gulf War, and the continued bombing of Iraq (terrorism), which our political leaders and news media have carefully screened from public awareness. Is there any doubt why so many foreigners have come to hate America? Actually, they don’t hate the essence of America, for many still come to our shores seeking the individual freedom that once was the essence of America. What they really hate is the misguided leadership of America; and many loyal Americans have also come to hate the same Fabian Socialist leadership, while still deeply loving the America that once was. At this point it behooves us to recall additional blatant lies and deceptions that our political leaders have engaged in over the years for various reasons, but mostly to create ready complaisance among a fearful populace. I have already mentioned the mass murder involved in the Pearl Harbor attack and the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki under the Roosevelt and Truman Administrations, and the official lies and obfuscation that associated them. Are not civil rulers who would intentionally engage in such immoral mayhem not to be feared? Similar widespread public deception was engaged in by our elected political leaders and their appointed bureaucrats concerning the no-win wars of Korea and Vietnam, which led to thousands and thousands of needless deaths of patriotic young men in the military – men sacrificed for political expediency in foreign wars led by political leaders whose true affections were not to uphold the Constitution of these United States. General Douglas MacArthur, before being relieved of duty in the Korean War, for instance, complained that the Communist forces he was opposing learned the content of his official communiques and directions from Washington, D.C., before he did! A tough way to try to win a war! Let’s turn to some more recent examples of untrustworthiness:

WACO: At first the American public was told that the FBI raided David Koresch’s religious community because of alleged child abuse, but why the FBI, which has no legal jurisdiction legal jurisdiction in such a matter? Then we were told that the Davidians fired on the FBI first, but this was not true! Then the much-feared BATF took over the federal assault of the Davidian compound on instructions from the White House. But why any assault at all, when David Koresch had engaged in target practice with members of the BATF just days before? Also he could easily have been arrested peacefully at any of the many times that he went outside the religious compound to make purchases in the Waco business community.

Then we were told that the religious group was suspected of having illegal guns; which also turned out not to be true! It is true that the Davidian group engaged in legal self-defense when they were illegally attacked by the federals; but the truth of the situation was distorted by both the government and the news media to keep the public in the dark about what was really happening (and possibly to keep armed citizens from coming to their rescue?).

After Americans viewed the brutal horror of the BATF/FBI final murderous assault with army tanks, tear gas, and flame throwers – remember, these were peaceful American citizens who were being attacked by hired government thugs – yes, THUGS! Civil rulers can always find hireling thugs to do their dirty work for pay – as did Stalin (the KGB), Mussolini (his "black shirts"), and Hitler (his "brown shirts’). Then the religious compound was intentionally set afire by flame throwing tanks after the inside had been thoroughly sprayed with a highly inflammable tear gas that is illegal to use.

The remaining women and children were forced to seek refuge in a concrete bunker that already was becoming overheated; and they were fired upon with automatic weapons every time they tried to escape, only to be forced back into the burning bunker to die horrible deaths. The FBI denied using automatic weapons to force the women and children back into the bunker (which is a bold-faced lie, because I personally have viewed the film that shows them firing automatic weapons at the doorway of the bunker). Likewise, the federal government has denied that the roof of the religious compound was strafed, but this is also untrue. Finally, no-non federal party was ever allowed inside the destructed compound to make an unbiased investigation before the federals quickly destroyed all the evidence – exactly what anyone guilty of a horrendous crime would have wanted to do!

Over 150 years ago, Texans cried, "Remember the Alamo!" Today, freedom-loving Americans need to cry, "Remember Waco!"

The Oklahoma City Bombing: Two years later, on the same date, the Murrah Federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was destroyed, allegedly, by a low-power kerosene-fertilizer bomb. Immediately, the news media and the federal government (Clinton Administration) raised a hue and cry that private militias were responsible, but with no proof. One hundred eighty were killed, many were women and children. The hue and cry fit in very well with the Clinton Administration’s strenuous efforts and long-term policy to disarm American citizens. Again, we had the powerful mind-influencing combination of a pseudo-liberal news media and a presidential administration that was intent on building a powerful and autocratic centralized civil government that could not be restrained by the limitations of the Constitution. In reference to the Second Amendment and his lack of success in disarming Americans, President Bill Clinton was quoted as saying to his Fabian-Socialist friend, Tony Blair, the Prime Minister of Great Britain, "Well, you have to remember that we have this thing called the Constitution."

Soon, strange deaths started to happen to persons who had inside knowledge of what really happened in Oklahoma City on the day of the explosion. Reports were given: of bombs having been placed inside the building, and unexploded bombs having been removed; of BATF employees that had been told not to show up at work that day; and also of the FBI having had prior knowledge of the bombing. (Remember: This is the same FBI that was involved in a "sting operation" gone wrong in the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993.) But the primary news media hushed all this up, as did the federal government. Interested persons had to rely on non-mainline sources of information to learn what was really happening.

General Ben Partin, a retired Air Force officer whose career focused on explosives and demolitions, conducted a very careful study (of which I have a copy) of the bomb site. His report proves unequivocally that the low-power truck bomb could not possibly have caused the kind of implosion that occurred to the Murrah Building. All it could have done was to break the glass windows of the building. That kind of implosion, the general pointed out, could only have happened as a result of plastic explosives being planted inside the building on the supporting beams. His report was ignored by federal officials, and it was hushed up by the standard news media through a conspiracy of silence.

Then the federal government, against requests to the contrary from local and state authorities, hurriedly bulldozed the debris, and then buried it at a site where no outsider was allowed. So, once again, we have the same scenario that occurred at Waco, valuable evidence was hurriedly destroyed. Why such a hurry? Private citizens who attempt to destroy evidence of such a catastrophe would be immediately arrested and prosecuted!

The War on Drugs: During WW II when our military were fighting in Burma, the only pay that the Burmese assistants would accept was drugs. This got our government involved with the drug lords in the so-called "Golden Triangle" in Asia. These connections were strengthened during the war in Vietnam when the CIA got involved in flying tons of illicit drugs into our own country to raise "off the book" funds for their covert operations. By this time tons of drugs were being transported by plane by CIA operatives from Central and South America to these United States of America during both the Reagan and Bush Administrations. (During the Reagan Administration, George Bush, Sr. was head of the CIA). A key landing spot for the illegal drugs in America was the airport at Mena, Arkansas, while Bill Clinton was Governor of Arkansas. He had full knowledge of the illicit trade and had a cooperative monetary hand in it, according to Barry Seal, who piloted many plane loads of illicit drugs, and who met a sudden death after he revealed what was going on.

In the meantime our federal government started waging a "war on drugs," which it was allegedly fighting on one hand (the Drug Enforcement Agency) while massively feeding the flames of drug abuse with continued plane loads of tons and tons of incoming drugs on the other hand (the CIA). This shocking information is verified in a book entitled Kiss the Boys Goodbye by Monica Jensen-Stevenson and a book detailing Barry Seal’s work for the CIA by piloting plane loads of drugs into our country. In Kiss the Boys Goodbye, the author quotes Ross Perot making a complaint to George Bush, Sr., then head of the CIA. Perot had financed a squad of military men on his own and sent them over to Vietnam to try to free American POWs who were still being held prisoner after the Vietnam War. George Bush, Sr., had asked how Perot’s team was doing. Perot replied that the trouble was that his men kept bumping into Bush’s men, the CIA operatives who were getting drugs from the drug lords in the Golden Triangle!

What is my point in relating these historical facts? The point is that our own civil rulers have long been involved in illegal drug activities that ordinary Americans would quickly be arrested for and sentenced to very long terms! As a result, America’s prisons soon became overflowing with prisoners convicted of drug abuse, while our government continued to flood our country with the evil substance they were supposedly "waging war" against!

But there is more: As a result of the mushrooming growth of drug abuse in America, the very civil rulers’ who were playing the two-handed game of stoking the fires of drug abuse with one hand while supposedly fighting it with the other hand, took yet another important step in the "drug war." Congress passed the Racketeer Influence & Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) by which government officials can legally seize private property, even if it is only suspected (through an anonymous tip, for instance) that it is or has been used in manufacturing, distributing, selling, or using illegal drugs. Then the courts, through some very convoluted reasoning, have come up with some inventive "legal"ideas which undermine basic common law. The long-standing rule regarding the sanctity of private property has been twisted to place the "blame"for alleged wrong-doing on the property rather than on the person who presumably had committed the "illegal" act! Thus, the seized property that is deemed to be "guilty" is then automatically forfeited to the government agency that seized the property, even if the accused person is never even officially charged, tried, or convicted! Proof of innocence then rests with the person whose property has been seized, and who then must bear the legal costs of suing for return!

Proceeds that result from sale of the now "legally seized" property are then shared by the seizing government agency, its agents, and the judge who oversees the property seizure. You can imagine how property seizures have mushroomed over the years since the "War on Drugs" and the RICO law went into effect! This is nothing less than a TERRORIST ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL WAR AGAINST THE PROPERTY OF AMERICAN CITIZENS! And it has been ruled "legal" by our misguided U. S. Supreme Court! Estimates of this kind of "legal" property seizure amount to multi-billions of dollars a year.

If you carry cash (and most bills and coins these days have trace amounts of illegal drugs that can be detected on them), and if you are stopped and searched while driving your car, or stopped while buying an airline ticket for cash, or drug-sniffing dogs nose at your suitcase at an airport, or shopping mall, or if you simply look "suspicious" to a government agent, you – as many people already have experienced – are subject to losing your car, your home, your RV, your boat, your bank account, or whatever else you might own that might be coveted by government agents. No, I am not kidding! This kind of totalitarianism has been going on in America for many years, and it is growing worse each year, and honest citizens are becoming more and more frightened and intimidated.

What is my point? It is this: When the civil authorities of a country wage such an immoral and terrorist war against the very citizens whom God raised them up to protect, then it is a clear indication that we already live in a totalitarian country and that America, once "the land of the free and home of the brave," has ceased to exist. My further point is this: We must be extremely careful in placing our trust in political leaders who have led us into such tyranny or who allow us to remain under such tyranny.

President Eisenhower warned Americans against the growing "miliary-industrial complex" when he left office. It has grown greatly since the 1960's when he left office, and it feeds off the continual unconstitutional foreign "military and peace-keeping engagements" our country has engaged in beginning with WW I to the present. Whose blood will be shed, and who will reap the profits from the "war to fight terrorism" that our political leaders and news media are now psychologically and emotionally preparing Americans for now? Beware, my beloved Americans! Beware!

Congress prohibited the carrying of fire arms on airlines in the 1970's. At that time I was writing a syndicated newspaper column entitled Tom’s Corner. I remember writing about the misguided government policy of disarming citizens in order to stop hijacking. Exactly the opposite should be done! The civil authorities, rather, should encourage citizens to carry arms on planes, trains, in their cars, and wherever they go! Such a policy would immediately stop any would-be highjacker from attempting to commandeer a plane. And the hijacking episode we experienced on that fatal day, Tuesday, September 11, 2001, will go down in history as proof that our present policy is wrong, wrong, wrong!

A number of reports have come through, regarding cell phone calls made by persons on the hijacked plane that went down in Pennsylvania, that certain individuals were going to oppose the hijackers; but their efforts to gain control were futile! Why? Because the passengers had already been disarmed by their own government! What if some of the passengers of the hijacked planes had been armed? Do you think that the airliners would have crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon? Certainly not!

Why is it that our civil rulers always seem to move in the wrong direction? If left alone, civil rulers will invariably move in the direction of more power to the civil rulers, and less power and self-responsibility to the people. I believe the reason is that they take a humanistic view of man and civil government rather than a biblical view. Thus, they build power and autocracy at the top of society instead of spreading freedom, power, and self-responsibility among the people where it belongs. There are many verses in the Bible where God warns us not to put our trust in civil rulers.

A patriot friend of mine, J. Evetts Haley, of Canyon, Texas, author of A Texan Looks at Lyndon, used to carry his .45 Peacemaker in his briefcase when flying on the airlines. Too bad that he was no longer alive and on one of the hijacked planes! or perhaps even myself! I can assure you that no hijacked plane would have reached the WTC or the Pentagon if even a few armed individuals were on those planes, even if it were to be armed only with mace or pepper spray! As it turned out, the hijackers were the ones who were able to bring hidden "knife-like" objects aboard to terrorize passengers, slice the throats of stewardesses, and take over the planes for their destructive work. Recently, FBI teams demonstrated that it is relatively easy for individuals to gain entrance to airline boarding areas through various unguarded entrance ways. This will always be true in the future also; it is relatively impossible to cordon off any building or area with 100% assuredness that illicit entry cannot be made by determined persons. Thus, we once again come to the question of what is the most foolproof way to deter hijacking? The answer remains the same: Arm citizens! X-ray machines and inspectors are marginally helpful in stopping the placing of bombs, but they are less than useful, as practice has proven, against armed terrorists. The 100% workable solution? The civil authorities, at all levels of government, should stop their attacks on the right of Americans to bear arms, and they should especially encourage them to carry arms on airline passenger planes. This practice, and this practice alone will end any future threat of terrorist hijacking. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas has sponsored a bill in Congress to arm airline pilots, but this will not accomplish the desired goal. Why? Because they can be easily disarmed if the passengers are already disarmed.

The country of Brazil has recognized the only workable solution to airline hijacking. It has made the move to arm passengers with guns of less than .38 caliber. Flight attendants will instruct passengers what to do in case of an attempted hijack! This is wisdom! Prediction: Brazil will be free of hijacking danger from now on!

1. The terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were made possible by a government that has disarmed its citizens. We know for sure that some persons on at least one of the hijacked planes futilely attempted to overpower the terrorists, according to a number of cell-phone communications, but they were unable because they were unarmed. Just one armed passenger might have prevented a plane from being hijacked.

2. There are good reasons why so many foreigners hate America: our misguided foreign policy of blind support for the new state of Israel. The one country that stands to benefit from our declaring war against Arab nations is the new state of Israel, which is largely populated and ruled by Zionist Khazar descendants who were converted to Talmudic Judaism en-mass about 740 A.D., and who are not truly descended from the biblical nation of Israel.

3. The long history of foreign wars that America has been dragged into or willfully engaged in shows that American political leaders have consistently deceived and lied to the American public. Therefore, American citizens, today, should be very careful about allowing our civil rulers and the news media to stir up an unthinking frenzy for war. Foreign wars inescapably build government tyranny at home!

4. Great sophistication was needed to successfully pull off the terrorist attack, a sophistication that independent terrorists probably lack. The Israeli Mossad certainly has the needed expertise, and the new state of Israel stands most to benefit from the resulting anti-Arab hysteria in America. Extreme caution and complete open-mindedness is called for to carefully investigate all possibilities. If the Mossad has a connection, then complicity within our own government should also be investigated. Remember, our involvement in WW II resulted largely from the secret "cooperation" between President Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. There are forces both outside and within our own country, as President Dwight Eisenhower stated concerning the "military-industrial complex," who might benefit from inciting America into a war.

5. We must beware of erecting a domestic military dictatorship under the guise of fighting international terrorism.

6. Civil rulers invariably turn to increasing their own power at the level of central government to solve problems, but this is, more often than not, the source of most problems in the first place. The better strategy is to follow the practice of decentralization in order to return more freedom, more self-responsibility, and more power to the people. We must recognize, as a result of the tragedy, that it is our government policy of disarming citizens which made the four airliners susceptible to being hijacked. How many lives of Americans might have been saved if some passengers had been armed? Thus, to solve the problem of possible future airline hijackings, arm the people and follow the example of Brazil by having flight attendants instruct passengers what to do in case of a hijacking attempt. If this is done, the tragic event of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, will never be repeated!
